the magic of Barbados

Barbados is one of the most famous islands in the Caribbean, and also one of the first islands where tourism established. Having been under British rule since the 1600s, the country became independent in 1966, but British culture has left its mark, both in the language (English is officially spårk), and that they drive on the left side of the road. The capital is Bridgetown, has (including suburbs) 110,000 inhabitants.
Based on this, the country has also become one of the most prosperous in the Caribbean, with a high standard of living, excellent infrastructure and consequently a slightly higher price level than other Caribbean islands. Still cheaper than at home, but at the larger hotels and in tourist areas such as Holetown and St Lawrence Gap, prices are approximate Norwegian.
